This is a hybrid or blended program providing both in-person and online instruction.
This six-day course satisfies minimum competency requirements for California IV Therapy and Blood Withdrawal certification. Subjects covered through lectures and lab work include patient assessment, charting procedures, and patient care in a variety of healthcare settings. Students will learn patient preparation, needle insertion techniques, administration of Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) rate of delivery, infusion sets, new IV drugs, and pediatric start techniques.
