This 420-clock-hour, 10.5-week program is designed to equip students with the essential knowledge and hands-on skills required to begin a career as an entry-level Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting. The curriculum provides comprehensive training in both administrative (front office) and clinical (back office) functions, ensuring students are well-prepared to support physicians and healthcare teams in a variety of environments.The administrative component focuses on front office operations, including patient scheduling, medical billing, insurance processing, and electronic health records management. The clinical portion prepares students to assist with patient care in settings such as hospitals, medical clinics, and physician offices. Topics include vital signs, EKGs, injections, specimen collection, and basic laboratory procedures.To provide real-world experience, the program includes a 160-hour, 4-week externship in a healthcare facility. Additionally, the cost of the program includes funding for students to sit for the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) examination, further enhancing their credentials and employability upon graduation.
