Program details

Pharmacy Technicians help pharmacists dispense prescription medication to customers or health professionals. This course meets State Board requirements for Registered Pharmacy Technician Licensure. Classroom instruction includes basic principles of pharmacology, pharmaceutical calculations, medical terminology, functions and duties of a pharmacy technician, hands-on training in the making of I.V. solutions, piggybacks, and aseptic techniques. A clinical externship in included at pharmacies in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. Clinical hours vary per student and location. Students are required to complete a minimum of 120 clinical hours. Required textbooks, supplies, CPR certification, and uniforms are included in tuition.Students with disabilities seeking accommodations are encouraged to contact our SICE counselors for assistance PRIOR to the start of your educational program.
