Program details
This is a hybrid or blended program providing both in-person and online instruction.
The curriculum for the Grooming Instructor Training Program is broken down into 11 stages giving students a strong foundation and understanding of dog grooming and cat grooming. Students also learn about the responsibilities they will encounter working in a grooming shop as a pet or dog groomer. Once the foundation has been established, they are given the opportunity to experience the daily life of a pet groomer when they participate in their 150 hours of hands on training. Stage 11 is the final exam. Upon successful completion, students receive ABC's Grooming certification as well as the title of Animal Behavior College Pet Groomer (ABCPG) and can work as a bather or groomer in a grooming salon and/or open their own business.
