This program provides in-person instruction only.
The academy enables students to comprehend theory, and skills necessary to enter the Biotechnology/Biomanufacturing field. Students will learn and understand about the Biotechnology/Biomanufacturing industry, Chemistry in the workplace, Biology in the workplace, how to do math calculations and conversions, blood disorders and genetic diseases, good manufacturing practices, lean manufacturing, good documentation practices, cleanroom behavior, OSHA Guidelines & Safety, Hands-on Lab Techniques and additional biotechnical and workplace skill such as attitude, business writing, cultural diversity, interviewing skills and critical thinking/problem solving. The Academy prepares students with skills to successfully obtain entry and support-level employment in Biotechnology/Biomanufacturing field. Students will receive a certificate of accomplishment in Biotechnology.
