Program details
This program provides in-person instruction only.
Dental Assistant (RDA) Preparation program prepares students for a job as a Registered Dental Assistant. Upon completion of this 66-hour program and 15 months verifiable work experience, graduates may be eligible to take the CA Registered Dental Assisting state exam. This course includes classroom, lab, clinical, and pre-clinical hours. Students will earn certificates for Coronal Polishing, Pit and Fissure Sealants, and learn RDA functions as they relate to the RDA State Board exam. Prerequisites: Dental Assisting Level I or possession of a valid CPR Card, Dental Board Approved Infection Control Certificate (8 hours), Dental Board Approved Dental Practice Act (2 hours), Dental Board Approved Radiation Safety Program (32 hours).
