This competency-based course emphasizes the skills and knowledge necessary for students to succeed in physical therapy occupations where the duties include overview of selected anatomy and physiological systems, disorders and drugs for bodily systems, ethical and legal standards,Medical terminology, assessment of vital signs, body mechanics, treatment methods, therapeutic And rehabilitative exercises, and mobility training. These competencies are aligned with the California high school academic content standards.
