Program details
This is a hybrid or blended program providing both in-person and online instruction.
Students learn role of medical assistant, anatomy and physiology, medical terminology/transcriptions patient records, clinical procedures, medical office business procedures. Class has externship of 160 mandatory hours, included in the course. The medical assisting program is also offered as an accelerated program. The accelerated program offers eight hours of instruction a day while the regular medical assisting program offers four hours of instruction a day.
